HubSpot website design for telecommunications company Tomia Global

23 wireframes before a single pixel was designed

Most website projects start with a mood board or a homepage mockup. This one started with 23 wireframe blueprints.

Tomia Global is a telecommunications company that provides roaming and connectivity solutions to mobile operators worldwide. They needed more than a fresh coat of paint on their website. They were going through a major rebrand, and the website had to reflect a completely new direction for the company.

We designed and built their new website on HubSpot CMS, complete with custom animated icons, a full blog setup, and responsive design that works across every device.

What Tomia Global needed

Tomia wasn’t just updating their website. They were rebranding the entire company.

Their existing site didn’t represent where the business was heading. They needed a platform that could showcase complex B2B telecommunications solutions (VoLTE roaming, 5G roaming, IoT connectivity, anti-fraud systems) without overwhelming their audience of mobile network operators.

The challenge was clear: make highly technical products feel approachable and professional, while giving Tomia’s team an easy way to manage content and publish blog posts on their own.

Wireframes first, always

We created 23 wireframe blueprints before anyone discussed colours, fonts, or imagery. Each wireframe mapped out the layout, structure, and user flow for a different page or section of the site.

This isn’t how most projects work. A lot of agencies skip straight to visual design because it’s more exciting and easier to sell. But wireframes catch structural problems early, when they’re cheap to fix. Moving a section around in a wireframe takes minutes. Moving it around in a finished design takes hours. Moving it around in code takes days.

23 wireframes meant that by the time we started the visual design, every page had a clear purpose and logical structure.

Turning static icons into something interactive

Tomia provided a set of static icons as part of their brand assets. They were fine as static graphics, but they didn’t do much for engagement on a website where the audience needs to quickly understand complex technical products.

We animated every one of them. Custom animations that bring each icon to life when users interact with the page. It’s a small detail, but it’s the kind of thing that makes a telecommunications website feel modern and polished rather than like a PDF that someone turned into a webpage.

The result: smooth SVG animations with carefully tuned easing curves that add personality without slowing anything down.

Built on HubSpot CMS

The website runs on HubSpot CMS, which gives Tomia’s team full control over their content without needing a developer for every update. We set up the entire platform, including a blog that integrates directly with their marketing tools.

HubSpot was the right choice here because Tomia needed their website and marketing efforts connected in one place. Content updates, blog posts, lead capture forms, and analytics all live in the same system.

Responsive from the start

This wasn’t a “desktop first, then make it work on mobile” situation. We designed every page with multiple screen sizes in mind from day one. The animated icons, navigation, and content layouts all adapt to whatever device someone’s using.

For a B2B telecommunications company whose audience includes executives checking the site between meetings on their phones, this matters more than it might seem.
